Where can i go to learn spanish ?

category: Learn Spanish
by admin,

I would like to learn spanish. Where can i go to find a place that teaches it in my area. Could i look on yahoo groups? I really dont know where to find a place that teaches it. Who do i ask? How much do you think it would cost? Any other advice? Thanks

Those community college classes are good, and very inexpensive.

Livemocha.com is free.

BBC languages is free.

Nosayudamos is a good supplement to any program, where you can do exercises, and talk to people online, voice chat, etc. that are natives.

Sharedtalk.com (part of Rosetta Stone) is also free and available.

And there are online textbooks, too.

ALL FREE.

Of course, the online options don't allow you to hang out with your friends and discuss class or homework at the coffee shop, or whatever.

But you CAN do them in your own time.

Most any community college would offer classes. Just google your town or city, and type in community colleges. I'm sure one will pop up nearby, and they're bound to offer Spanish. It should be affordable as well. For an at-home setting, try programs such as Living Language (available at book stores like Barnes and Noble) or Rosetta Stone (http://www.rosettastone.com). They cost about $70-$599 per pack depending on what you're looking for level wise, but I'm sure you can find a good and affordable package.

I learned spanish in high school but after I got out I went to barnes and noble and bought a book The Berlitz Self-Teacher: Spanish. It has a unique series of designed oral pronunciation, simple pronunciations-at-a-glance, exercises to make you think your new language, and reviews and tests after every chapter. I hope that helped.
